ReadCloud is an Australian education technology and vocational training company based in Melbourne that sells eBooks and curriculum software to secondary schools and runs registered training organisations that deliver vocational courses to school students. It grew from an eReader platform whose first seed was planted in 2009 and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: RCL) in 2018. Its ReadCloudVET business brings together three specialist registered training organisations, AIET, COSAMP and Ripponlea Institute, that support over 50 qualifications for about 15,000 learners, and Southern Solutions Training Services delivers workplace training in areas such as early childhood education and aged care. Revenue comes from platform and eBook fees charged to schools, auspicing and course fees, and government-subsidised training fees. Sales and fee revenue was A$8.14 million in the six months to March 2024, with underlying EBITDA of A$1.04 million. The company has bought four businesses since 2018 and serves more than 500 school customers.
