As of December 31, 2024, it held 2P reserves of 1.043 billion barrels of oil equivalent and working interest production of 135.6 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day as of October 31, 2025. The company supplies gas supporting over 400 megawatts of electricity generation across Nigeria. This transaction, with an initial $248 million payment and the balance secured by letter of credit, plus potential $10 million contingent consideration, made Heirs Energies the largest single shareholder and reshaped ownership toward greater Nigerian control. The deal triggered a 57% surge in Seplat Energy’s shares, adding about $1.25 billion to its market value, reaching a market capitalization of roughly $3.41 billion at Thursday’s close post-announcement. Seplat produces approximately 286,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, significantly enhancing Heirs Energies’ portfolio which includes 70,000 boe/d production.
