About UIL

UIL is a Bermuda-incorporated closed-end investment company whose shares are traded in London. It invests globally in listed and unlisted assets, with an emphasis on financial services, infrastructure, technology, and other specialist opportunities. The portfolio is managed by ICM and has historically included platform investments that themselves hold operating companies or funds. Its disclosures include annual reports, portfolio updates, and related-party transaction details. In 2022, UIL acquired several listed technology positions from Allectus Capital as part of a broader asset exchange. The company is headquartered in Hamilton and operates as a public asset owner with investment-management revenue and returns.

Description
Touch Ventures is an Australian listed investment company that supplies capital and operating support to technology businesses. It was established in 2016 and is headquartered in Sydney, with shares quoted on the Australian Securities Exchange. The company invests from seed through later growth stages and can hold both private and publicly traded positions. Its portfolio approach spans consumer, enterprise, finance, and marketplace technology rather than a single software category. Touch Ventures earns returns through appreciation and realisations from its investee companies, not through sales of an operating product. Afterpay was an early strategic shareholder and commercial partner, while the shareholder base later broadened. The company publishes portfolio updates, net asset value information, and substantial-holder filings for public investors.
Invigor Group was an Australian data-intelligence and marketing technology company based in Sydney. It built software that collected, analysed, and commercialised pricing, retail, and customer information for business clients. Its platforms included competitive-price monitoring, loyalty capabilities, and tools intended to connect merchants with consumers. The company sold data subscriptions and related professional services rather than physical products. Invigor was publicly quoted in Australia during Allectus Capital's holding period, giving the investment both venture and listed-equity characteristics. Management used strategic capital to expand its product set and commercial relationships in retail and commerce. The business later encountered financial difficulty and its listed securities were suspended, making historical exchange announcements the clearest surviving primary record of the Allectus investment.
Cluey is a Sydney education company founded in 2018 that provides live online tutoring and related learning support to school students. Its core service matches students in Years 2 through 12 with tutors for mathematics, English, chemistry, biology and physics through a proprietary video and content platform. Programs are aligned with Australian curricula and combine scheduled instruction, practice exercises, recorded sessions, progress information and feedback for parents. Cluey also serves New Zealand students and works with schools, government programs and community partners. The 2021 acquisition of Code Camp added face-to-face and online holiday camps, after-school programs and coding or creative-technology courses. Families typically pay for recurring tutoring or individual education programs, while institutions can purchase or sponsor services for student cohorts. Cluey remained ASX-listed at the October 3, 2026 research cut-off, with its approved delisting scheduled for October 6, 2026.
Plexure Group was a New Zealand customer-engagement software company headquartered in Auckland. Its cloud platform helped quick-service restaurants and other large consumer brands operate mobile applications, loyalty programmes, personalised offers, and digital ordering. The system combined real-time customer data with campaign management and location-aware engagement. Plexure sold its software to enterprise clients through recurring licences and implementation services. McDonald's was its best-known global customer during Allectus Capital's ownership period. The company was listed on the New Zealand exchange and later combined with TASK, an Australian hospitality technology provider. TASK now continues the broader group's restaurant transaction, engagement, and operations software, while the Plexure name remains relevant to the historical investment and shareholder filings.
