ST
Baq
Description
ST is an Italian company specialized in structural design, and in particular in the vulnerability assessment and seismic retrofitting of strategic buildings. In July 2026 ETS agreed to take 51 percent of the company under a framework agreement that also set the principles of mutual collaboration. ETS expects synergies in developing its design business, and the companies agreed to rename ST S.r.l. as ETS ST S.r.l. ETS described the economic and balance-sheet data of ST as not material for the group. The buyer, ETS, is an engineering group listed on Euronext Growth Milan that paid for the stake entirely from its own resources.
Baq (Suisse) Sàrl is a Swiss engineering and consulting company based in Le Grand-Saconnex near Geneva that works in nuclear and environmental safety. It was founded in 2019 as a spin-off of CERN and is currently developing air purification systems for radioactive contaminants. Before the 2026 deal its founders Stefano Romano and Alessandro Curioni each held 21.12 percent, Fongit, the Geneva foundation for technological innovation, held 5 percent and Marco Silari held 1.76 percent. The founders stay on as employees with operational roles. In February 2026 ETS agreed to take 51 percent through its subsidiary ETS NH, which also committed to fund the company with loans of up to 250,000 Swiss francs at 2 percent interest and a contribution of 50,000 Swiss francs to share capital.
