The garment-like device is worn nearly 24 hours a day without adhesives, features embedded cushioned sensors, and includes a remote monitoring platform that feeds ECG data to providers and connects to a patient smartphone app. Founded in 2014 by Bain Capital private equity and leaders from AED and ICD defibrillation industries, Kestra aims to disrupt the $1 billion WCD market with its clinically proven, patient-focused technology prescribed to over 10,000 patients. Rowe Price, Eventide Asset Management, Gilmartin Capital, and Endeavour Vision. The funds support expansion of commercial operations, sales teams, and R&D. New board members joined from Ally Bridge Group, Longitude Capital, and Omega Funds, with BofA Securities as sole placement agent.
