Description
Orchestra is a San Francisco-headquartered software platform that unifies data operations through a centralized control plane. Launched to address data team challenges, it streamlines debugging, infrastructure management, data orchestration, and quality monitoring. The platform supports scaling for AI initiatives by automating workflows and reducing operational overhead in modern data stacks used by enterprises worldwide.
GMM is an Italian group founded in 1993 in Gravellona Toce that makes machinery for the stone industry. It began as a bridge-saw manufacturer and later added edge-polishing machines and CNC-based cutters. Its consolidated figures for 2022 showed sales of EUR 124 million and adjusted EBITDA of EUR 12.5 million. Before the sale to Biesse, Consilium Private Equity Fund III held 75% of the group and FGL Holding, the vehicle of the founding shareholders, held 25%. The group sells stone-cutting and finishing equipment to producers of slabs and tiles in Italy and abroad, and it was expected to post results in the same range in 2023. The holding company through which Biesse bought the group is GMM Finance.
Forvet is an Italian manufacturer of special automated machines and lines for glass fabrication, based in Volvera near Turin and founded in 1990. It builds automated lines for processing flat glass and is described as a unique reference in the market for the production of such lines. Biesse said the purchase let it complete its range of glass machining centres with complementary industrial solutions that integrate with its own technology. Forvet sells modular lines and automated systems to technologically advanced glass processors. The company was acquired in full by Biesse in October 2021 for about EUR 41 million, payable in cash mainly within the same year.
