Its shares have traded on the Saudi Exchange since December 2019, with the government owning about 82%, the Public Investment Fund 12% and Sanabil 4%.

PetroChina, the national champion that inherited the majority of Chinese onshore oil and gas assets, has developed into an international supermajor. In 2024, it produced more than 1.7 billion barrels of oil equivalent of oil and gas, and processed 1.4 billion barrels of crude oil. It also has more than 22,000 service stations. The fluctuations in the prices of crude oil, refined products, chemical products, and natural gas have a significant impact on PetroChina’s revenue. State-owned China National Petroleum Corp is PetroChina’s controlling shareholder with a stake of more than 82%.

The firm also processed 252.30 million metric tons of crude oil.

Williams operates the Transco pipeline, which connects the Gulf Coast to the Northeast United States. It has additional natural gas transmission pipelines connecting the Rockies to the Pacific Northwest and midcontinent. Net production averaged roughly 1,232 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2025 at a ratio of 69% oil and natural gas liquids and 31% natural gas.

Enterprise Products Partners is a master limited partnership that transports and processes natural gas, natural gas liquids, crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals. It is one of the largest midstream companies, with operations servicing most producing regions in the continental US. Enterprise is particularly dominant in the NGL market and is one of the few MLPs that provide midstream services across the full hydrocarbon value chain.

It earns mostly fee-based and commodity-linked revenue from transporting, storing and processing energy. Its acquisitions include Regency Energy Partners for US$11 billion in 2015, SemGroup for US$5 billion in 2019 and Crestwood Equity Partners in a US$7.1 billion all-equity deal that closed in November 2023.

Cheniere Energy is a liquified natural gas, or LNG, producer with two facilities in Corpus Christi, Texas and Sabine Pass, Louisiana. Exploration and production operations provide hydrocarbons from international assets, while the downstream division converts and markets energy and chemical products. Repsol serves consumers, commercial customers and industrial buyers in Spain and other markets. It is publicly traded and headquartered in Madrid.
