About Playtomic
Playtomic is a Spanish sports-technology company based in Madrid that runs a booking app and community platform for padel, tennis and pickleball players and clubs. Players use the app to find and book courts, create private or public matches, join nearby games and track results, with a player-level estimation system matching them with opponents of similar ability. Clubs use its Playtomic Manager software to run bookings, memberships and operations, and coaches and academies use Playtomic Coach and Academy tools. By March 2025 the platform had 6,000 registered clubs and 1.5 million monthly active users worldwide, and Playtomic reported gross revenue of €240 million in 2024 and net revenue of €23 million, forecasting €350 million and €31 million for 2025; it had more than 200 employees. It earns commission on court bookings and matches paid through the app and charges clubs for its management software. Playtomic was co-founded by chief executive Félix Ruiz with Pedro Clavería and Pablo Carro. It raised €56 million in 2021 and, in March 2025, a €65 million round made up of €55 million of equity and €10 million of Banco Santander debt, with about a third earmarked for US expansion from Miami; in 2022 it bought a Finnish competitor.

Latest Acquisitions by Playtomic
| Description | TIMP is a Valencia software company founded in 2014 that helps sports, wellness and other appointment-based facilities run their businesses. The platform includes online booking, schedules, memberships, customer records, payments, accounting tools, communications and performance analytics. Facility owners and staff use the business application, while their customers can reserve classes or services through connected digital interfaces. TIMP sells tiered recurring software plans to professional operators and can support single venues as well as organizations with more complex requirements. Revenue comes principally from business subscriptions and related platform functionality rather than consumer advertising. The product expanded from appointment management into a broader operating system for multi-activity centers. Playtomic acquired TIMP in September 2026 to combine these management capabilities with its sports-booking network. | Sportclubby is an Italian sports-technology company based in Turin that runs a booking and management platform for sports and wellness facilities. Founded by Biagio Bartoli, its chief executive, and Stefano De Amici after 20 years of work digitising professional sport, it went live in August 2018 as a social app through which people book classes, courses and courts, and it entered the I3P incubator of the Politecnico di Torino in 2020. Its management software for clubs and studios handles customer records and communications, class timetables and bookings, memberships and loyalty programmes, accounting and payments and a personalised booking page, with versions for gyms, fitness boutiques, swimming pools, dance schools, CrossFit boxes, yoga and Pilates studios and physiotherapists. By January 2024 it had become the leading sports and wellness booking platform in Italy, with more than 1,000 clubs and 1.5 million users. It raised €950,000 from Finpiemonte and LigurCapital in 2021 and €1.5 million from Wylab and a pool of investors in 2022, about €4.5 million in total across its rounds. In January 2024 it was acquired by Playtomic, the Madrid-based racket-sports booking app, to combine the two largest padel and tennis communities in Italy under the Playtomic brand, while the Sportclubby software continues to serve fitness and wellness businesses. | AirCourts is a leading platform for sports facility reservations and club management in Portugal. Launched in 2015, it connects over 350 clubs with more than 500,000 registered players through an online marketplace and management software. The Lisbon-based company streamlines court bookings, operational workflows, and customer acquisition for padel, tennis, and squash venues. Players access real-time availability and secure payments via web and mobile apps. Profitable since 2017 after an angel round in 2016, AirCourts expanded to serve facilities nationwide. | network-sports is a German sports-club software company based in Waiblingen that developed network-booking, an online reservation system for sports clubs. The system lets tennis, padel and squash clubs, or an entire sports facility, manage court reservations and occupancy online, and members can book courts at any time through the web or a mobile app. Add-on modules cover work-duty and event management, club rankings and finding playing partners, while a payment module bills guest players, indoor-court fees and clubhouse rentals by invoice, PayPal, credit card, direct debit or Klarna. Clubs started with a free demo tailored to their setup and then paid for the software, and the company said it had built its product on feedback from more than a hundred tennis clubs. It was an official cooperation partner of the Baden Tennis Federation (Badischer Tennisverband). The business was operated by Weimer und Teller – Web Applikationen GbR, whose partners were Moritz Weimer and Tim Teller. Since April 2022 network-sports has belonged to the racket-sports booking platform Playtomic, and its client clubs were moved onto Playtomic's club manager software. | |
