The company operates a peer-to-peer lending platform that has lent more than €965 million to approximately 3,800 small businesses since launching. On 19 January 2023, October secured a €35 million commitment from the European Investment Fund (EIF) and Dutch impact investor Invest-NL for its October SME V fund, a debt vehicle for small businesses. The EIF committed €20 million backed by the InvestEU programme, while Invest-NL invested €15 million under the Dutch Alternative Credit Instrument (DACI) mandate. October's data-driven approach includes an ESG X-Ray module for evaluating borrowers. The fund invests in small businesses through a granular portfolio of loans ranging from €30,000 to €5 million, with pricing reviewed monthly.
