The round was led by SJF Ventures with participation from Tennenbaum Capital Partners and existing investors Sigma Partners and DBL Investors (also referred to as DBL Partners). SJF Ventures' managing director Dave Kirkpatrick joined the board post-investment. The funding enabled NEXTracker to double manufacturing capacity and fulfill expanding customer orders, scaling production to over 200 MW per month amid tremendous shipment growth the prior year. NEXTracker's trackers maximize energy output for utility-scale solar projects while reducing installation, operating, and maintenance costs, proven on projects financed by leading banks totaling over $450 million in value. The company expanded its team across North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia to support global solar deployments in countries like Chile, Mexico, Honduras, and Australia. CEO Dan Shugar highlighted the capital's role in scaling production following prior customer shipment increases. NEXTracker grew rapidly post-round and was acquired by Flex in September for up to $330 million to scale Flex's energy technologies offerings.
