About Keller Group

Keller Group is a British geotechnical engineering company headquartered in London and listed on the London Stock Exchange, describing itself as the world's largest geotechnical specialist contractor. It prepares ground for construction, providing ground improvement, grouting, deep foundations, earth retention, marine structures and instrumentation and monitoring for commercial, industrial, infrastructure, power, public and residential projects, and earns revenue from specialist subcontracts. The business traces its origins to the company Johann Keller founded in Renchen, Germany, in 1860; GKN acquired it in 1972, it took the Keller name after a 1990 management buyout backed by Candover, and it listed in 1994. It operates in North America, where businesses including Hayward Baker, Case Foundation and Moretrench were unified under the Keller brand in 2020; in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including Franki; and in Asia-Pacific, including Keller Australia and Austral Construction. With about 10,000 employees on five continents it undertakes some 5,500 projects a year, and in 2024 it reported revenue of £2.98 billion and pre-tax profit of £184 million. James Wroath, a former chief executive of Wincanton, succeeded Michael Speakman as chief executive in 2025.
