Cleanaway Overview
About Cleanaway
Cleanaway Waste Management is an Australian provider of waste collection, recycling, treatment and disposal services. The listed company previously operated as Transpacific Industries and adopted the Cleanaway corporate name in 2015. It serves commercial and industrial customers, municipalities and other users through collection fleets, processing facilities and disposal infrastructure. Revenue comes from waste-management services and associated treatment and resource-recovery activities. Transpacific acquired the historical Cleanaway Australian operations from KKR in 2007, substantially expanding its commercial and municipal collection business. That acquired division included customer contracts, recycling and transfer facilities, landfills and selected waste-treatment technologies. The company continued to expand its infrastructure and service capabilities after the acquisition, including its purchase of Melbourne Regional Landfill in 2014. The listed parent is distinct from the historical Cleanaway operating business it acquired, even though it subsequently adopted the same brand.

Latest Acquisitions by Cleanaway
| Description | Contract Resources Holdings Ltd. is a specialized industrial services provider offering shutdown, maintenance, and scaffolding solutions across oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors. Headquartered in Singapore with operations in Asia-Pacific and Middle East, the company delivers workforce and equipment for turnarounds and projects, serving major energy firms. | Global Renewables Holdings owns and operates an alternative waste treatment facility at Eastern Creek in western Sydney. The plant processes about 220,000 tonnes of household residual waste a year, roughly a fifth of Sydney's red-bin volumes, recovering recyclables and producing compost so that less material goes to landfill. It is paid gate fees by councils under long-term waste supply agreements. | Tox Free Solutions delivers industrial and waste management services across Australia through segments including waste processing, industrial cleaning, technical environmental support, and health services. The Perth-headquartered company manages hazardous waste, recycling, and decontamination for mining, oil and gas, and manufacturing sectors. | Cleanaway Australia Operations is the historical waste-management business that Brambles sold to KKR in 2006 and that Transpacific Industries subsequently acquired in 2007. The business collected and processed waste for commercial, industrial and municipal customers across Australian states other than Tasmania. Its operations included collection contracts, material-recovery facilities, recycling and transfer stations, landfill sites and related waste-treatment technologies. At the 2007 sale, the buyer described more than 65,000 commercial and industrial customers and more than 85 municipal customers. Revenue came from contracted collection, processing and disposal services, supported by physical facilities and vehicle operations. The acquired perimeter included minor liquid-waste activities and rights to specified organic-waste treatment systems. It was a separate operating division from the Brambles industrial-services business retained by KKR. This historical acquisition target is distinct from the listed Transpacific parent that adopted the Cleanaway corporate name in 2015. |
