Mar 2025Undisclosed stageMirova (lead)$54MGreenWay is a leading electric vehicle charging infrastructure provider operating primarily in Central and Eastern Europe, including Slovakia (GreenWay Infrastructure), Poland (GreenWay Polska), and Croatia (GreenWay Hrvatska). The company focuses on fast and HPC charging stations as an E-Mobility Provider (EMP) and has built a strong position in the CEE region since its founding in 2011. On March 17, 2025, Mirova, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers dedicated to sustainable investing, made an equity investment of more than €50 million (approximately $54 million) in GreenWay Holding. This investment positions Mirova as the largest shareholder, joining existing investors such as Janom Investment, Generation Capital, Helios Energy Investment Funds, Neulogy Ventures, the founder, and management. Mirova representatives will join the supervisory board upon transaction completion. The funding supports GreenWay's ambitious expansion of its charging network across the CEE region and operational improvements amid challenging market conditions. Rafał Czyżewski, previously leading Polish operations, becomes group CEO, alongside CFO Lukasz Gaffling, with founder Peter Badik as chairman of the management board. Mirova highlighted GreenWay's solid track record, operational excellence, and market understanding in low-carbon mobility. This marks Mirova's fifth investment in the low-carbon mobility sector, following Driveco, Zunder, JET Charge, and NEoT Green Mobility. The deal underscores confidence in GreenWay's long-term vision for supporting the shift to low-carbon mobility in Central Europe, despite an electromobility slowdown, with capital from Mirova's Energy Transition 6 Fund.
