Description
QueroQuitar is a Brazilian fintech that runs an online marketplace for negotiating overdue debts. It was founded in Sao Paulo in 2015 by Marc Lahoud. Creditors such as banks upload their debt portfolios and rules, and debtors search by their tax number for offers, choose one and settle it by paying a payment slip, which clears the record within five business days. Its website cites more than 180 million contracts on the platform and more than 90 million debtors with debts to negotiate. Investors include Wayra, 500 Startups, Bossa Nova Investimentos, the BR Startups fund managed by MSW Capital, and the Italian credit servicer doValue, which took about 10 percent in 2021. The company offers its service for free to consumers and earns revenue from creditors and from plans for small businesses. The record shows no acquisitions or investments made by QueroQuitar itself.
