Mar-17IPO---Funds advised by Triton completed an initial public offering of shares in Ambea AB on 31 March 2017. Ambea began trading on Nasdaq Stockholm at SEK 80 per share against an issue price of SEK 75 per share. Triton said that since acquiring Ambea in 2010 it had supported the company in becoming a customer-focused and quality-driven health care provider, and that broader share ownership would serve Ambea well. Key initiatives during Triton's majority ownership included refocusing Ambea on elderly and disabled care by divesting non-core entities, implementing quality management, transparency and measurement systems, and completing more than 40 add-on acquisitions. Triton remained a significant shareholder after listing. Ambea pr
Jan-10Strategic investmentKKR; Triton Partners--KKR acquired joint equity control of Ambea alongside Triton in 2010. The European Commission’s transaction description explains that KKR initially provided debt financing for Triton’s acquisition and subsequently proposed converting that funding into equity in Ambea. The company’s own history and Triton’s later ownership account confirm the completed joint investment in that year. Ambea operated healthcare and care services in Sweden, Finland and Norway through businesses including Mehilainen, Carema Care and Carema Healthcare. The company served people needing elderly care, specialist support and medical treatment, with public sector bodies among its principal customers. Although the underlying Triton acquisition closed on March 31, the later conversion of KKR’s financing means that date is not used as a verified KKR equity closing.
