GBA Group Acquisition

GBA Group was acquired by Bridgepoint Group for $1.2B on 16 July 2026.

Bridgepoint agreed to acquire a majority stake in Hamburg-based laboratory testing group GBA Group from Ardian, with GBA's management team remaining invested. Bridgepoint plans to support international expansion, capability investment and selective acquisitions, drawing on its testing, inspection and certification experience from platforms including Element Materials Technology. Reuters reported the deal values the business at more than EUR 1 billion, though terms were not officially disclosed, and completion is expected by the end of 2026 subject to regulatory approvals.
