Methodology for comparing financial data platforms and financial data APIs

Data on competitors comes from (in order of preference): 1) the vendor’s own published materials (pricing pages, documentation, product pages); 2) vendor statements in filings or press; 3) third-party data (procurement platforms such as Vendr, Spendflo and similar); 4) review sites such as G2, TrustRadius and Capterra.

Most vendors do not publish their pricing information officially. Where no price list exists, we show the reported or commonly-known range. We do not "invent" quotes, ratings or testimonials.

A "Check": this capability is a core, crucial part of the product. "Partial": the capability exists but is secondary - might be an add-on module, limited depth, or a subset of the coverage universe. A "Cross": feature absent or negligible in practice. These are our own editorial judgements or commonly received feedback from users.

Each page shows the date its facts were last verified, currently August 2026 for this page. We re-verify facts at least every 90 days: published prices against vendor websites, reported prices against current procurement data/user feedback, coverage figures against actual production etc. We correct or remove inaccurate information. Verified corrections are applied immediately, outside the 90-day cycle.
