What Financial Data Platforms Cost in August 2026
Last verified: Aug 14, 2026Most financial data platforms (like FactSet, Capital IQ or PitchBook) do not openly publish their pricing, and require a sales demo.On this page we group the published prices and user-reported (estimated) ranges for all major platforms.
Out of institutional-quality platforms, only Multiples allows for self-serve sign up and publishes its pricing ($239-$399 per month with annual billing).
PitchBook, S&P Capital IQ, FactSet, Bloomberg, LSEG, CB Insights, Preqin, Mergermarket and other large providers require a demo and usually custom-quote.
Reported ranges in this table are sourced from procurement data platforms (Vendr, Spendflo, costbench), user reviews (G2, TrustRadius), press mentions, and recent Reddit threads.
Treat prices shown on this page as directionally correct, but not guaranteed to be accurate. For most vendors they can vary by region, contract length, number of seats and modules purchased.

Platforms that publish pricing
Multiples: Pro $239/month and Pro Max $399/month billed annually ($299 and $499 monthly), Enterprise (API) starts at $1,499/month. MCP access is included at Pro Max. All plans except API are self-serve, with a free 3-day trial.
Crunchbase: Pro $49/user/month billed annually or $99 monthly. Business $199/user/month annual. API access is enterprise-quoted (the free API tier was discontinued).
Koyfin: free tier, Plus $39/month, Premium $79/month, Advisor Core $209/month, Advisor Pro $299/month. The legacy Pro plan retired in April 2026.
Platforms that do not (officially) publish pricing
FactSet: $12,000 base workstation to $40,000+ fully loaded, per seat per year.
Capital IQ Pro: $13,000-$30,000 per user per year.
LSEG Workspace: $12,000-$24,000 per user per year, by content set.
Bloomberg: $31,980 single seat, $28,320 on multi-seat contracts, two-year minimum, with ~6.5% renewal increases reported since 2025.
Preqin: $15,000-$75,000+ by asset-class scope, with API/feed access reported to add 30-60%.
Morningstar Direct: ~$17,000 for the first user.
PitchBook: $25,000-$40,000/year standard team licenses; enterprise packages with API and Excel access reported at $70,000+.
Mergermarket: from ~$30,000 per year.
Tracxn: single-user plans listed around $550/month, team licenses reported at $6,500-$15,000/year.
Gain.pro: from ~$15,000 per year, annual licenses only.
CB Insights: $40,000-$100,000 per team per year.
Specter: pricing undisclosed, with API access metered in credits.
Grata: $15,000-$40,000 per year.
Harmonic: $10,000-$30,000 per year, scoped to API usage.
Some ranges may seem wide due to contracts quoted on number of seats and modules. Price increase on renewal seems to be standard across many providers, and API access is almost always a separate line item.
Costs beyond the license
Baseline pricing is not everything to look at when choosing a financial data provider.
Procurement time: most enterprise platforms take weeks to months from first contact to working access. Self-serve platforms like Multiples take minutes. This might be an issue if you need data access quickly.
Lock-in mechanics: annual or multi-year terms with auto-renewal windows are standard with providers like PitchBook or FactSet. A missed cancellation window rolls the contract a year. Consider a more subscription-friendly platform if you want to avoid a hard lock-in.
