Delta Fiber Funding History
Delta Fiber has raised 1 funding round.
| Date | Stage | Investors | Deal Summary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apr 2022 | Undisclosed stage | Stonepeak (lead); EQT (lead); Pantheon Ventures | Pantheon Ventures announced on 26 April 2022 that it had invested 26.5 million euros, about 22.4 million pounds at the exchange rates of the day, in a Western European fibre-to-the-home operator, identified in Pantheon Infrastructure Plc's portfolio disclosures as the Dutch company Delta Fiber. The investment was made through Pantheon Infrastructure, the London-listed trust Pantheon manages, and was completed as a minority co-investment made with Stonepeak alongside EQT, the two sponsors that own the business. No valuation for Delta Fiber was disclosed and Pantheon did not take control. Pantheon said the investment was consistent with its strategy of building a diversified portfolio of infrastructure assets in sectors with structural growth drivers, and that digital infrastructure had become a core sub-sector supported by growth in mobile data consumption, cloud migration and high-speed network deployment. Richard Sem, the partner at Pantheon managing the trust, described the transaction as an accretive growth opportunity and said the firm was pleased to have partnered with Stonepeak and the company's management team. Delta Fiber provides broadband internet access to nearly one million homes and also sells television and fixed and mobile telephony, using a fibre-based network of about 50,000 kilometres. It is an established operator in its home market in the Netherlands and at the time of the investment had set an ambition to reach two million fibre connections by 2025. Pantheon noted that fibre broadband consumes approximately 40 to 60 per cent less energy than the legacy networks it replaces. Pantheon Infrastructure classified the holding within the digital infrastructure fibre segment of its portfolio, where it was valued at 29.0 million pounds at 31 December 2024. |
