Big brands such as Carrefour, Total, MK2, and Monceau Fleurs use Wynd, with 30 percent of revenue from international markets and over 100 clients in 18 countries, 18,000 points of sales deployed, and 35 partners. In January 2019, Wynd raised $82 million (€72 million) from Natixis, Sofina, and BNF Capital, bringing total funding to $127 million (€112 million) including prior investors Sodexo, Orange, and Alven. The platform competes with traditional tools like Excel by providing reactive insights on products and staff performance. Note that a separate Wynd Technologies (air purification) exists but is unrelated to this funding round.
Nov 2016Series BSodexo Ventures (lead); Alven; Bpifrance; Orange Ventures$32MWynd is a France-based retail payment software developer providing point-of-sale (POS) software for restaurants and stores that integrates physical and online sales, inventory management, and operates via mobile devices. The company offers a modular SaaS solution connecting in-store and online channels, including CRM integration, orders from all channels, electronic wallets, click-and-collect, office delivery, booking, and payment processing. Wynd serves major clients such as Carrefour, Galeries Lafayette, Quick, Sodexo, Eiffage, Total, and Monceau Fleurs, targeting large retail chains across industries like healthcare, hospitality, and catering. On November 24, 2016 (announced around November 17-25), Wynd raised €30 million ($31.7 million) in a Series B round led by the newly formed Sodexo Ventures, alongside Orange Digital Ventures (previously Orange Ventures), Bpifrance, and existing investor Alven Capital from the prior Series A. Sodexo Ventures made its inaugural investment, joining as a minority investor, with the deal subject to shareholder approval the week of November 21, 2016. Prior to this, Wynd had raised $7.8 million in a Series A in October 2015 led by Alven with Orange Digital Ventures. The funds were earmarked for international expansion, including doubling the team size within a year and opening offices in the UK and UAE (Dubai), building on existing international operations. Wynd had shown tremendous growth over the prior two years, rewarding its effective deployment. Later rounds included additional funding in 2019, with total raised reaching approximately $122 million by 2024, before Wynd (later rebranded Anycommerce) was acquired in stages.
