In 2025 revenue rose 53.3% to RMB 2.001 billion; full-size humanoid revenue grew 2,204% to RMB 821 million on sales of 1,079 units, and the net loss narrowed to RMB 790 million, with annualized Walker S2 capacity above 6,000 units. Zhou Jian, its chief executive, founded the company in March 2012. After a Series C round involving Tencent and ICBC valued it at $5 billion, UBtech listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under code 9880 in December 2023, raising HK$1 billion. It had 2,013 employees in 2023.
