EYSA Acquisition
EYSA was acquired by Tikehau Capital for $648M on 20 May 2025.
The acquisition price implies a 3.0x revenue and 12.0x EBITDA multiple on $216M of revenue.
Before the acquisition EYSA had raised $104M across 1 funding round.
Tikehau Capital, a Paris-based global alternative asset management group with €50.6 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2025, completed the acquisition of EYSA Group, a Madrid-headquartered Spanish leader in smart mobility solutions including parking, tolling, traffic management, and low-emission zone systems for urban and interurban areas, from H.I.G. Capital on August 27, 2025. The deal was executed through Tikehau's flagship private equity decarbonisation strategy, which targets companies advancing energy efficiency, electrification, low-carbon solutions, and climate adaptation, aligning with EYSA's focus on transitioning transportation infrastructure to sustainable frameworks and supporting regulations for improved traffic flows, reduced emissions, and enhanced road safety across over 235 cities. Under H.I.G. ownership since early 2022, EYSA reinforced operational capabilities, launched sustainability and AI-driven services, completed five strategic add-on acquisitions, and doubled its EBITDA, evolving from a single-market operator to an international platform. Tikehau aims to accelerate EYSA's growth into a global platform through international expansion, capital provision, sector expertise, and industrial alliances, with EYSA's management team, led by CEO Javier Delgado, remaining in place and supported by Tikehau's strategic involvement. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the transaction was subject to regulatory approvals. The acquisition strengthens Tikehau's Iberian Peninsula presence amid tailwinds in smart, sustainable mobility infrastructure investments, positioning EYSA to scale operations and capture growth in digitized systems globally, as stated by Tikehau Iberia Co-Head David Martín and Private Equity Decarbonisation Strategy Co-Heads Pierre Abadie and Mathieu Badjeck.
