The company, based in Corvallis, Oregon, and led by former Microsoft executive Peggy Johnson, focuses on bipedal robots capable of human-like functions in logistics and manufacturing environments. Agility Robotics raised $400 million in a later-stage funding round in 2025, led by WP Global Partners with participation from SoftBank Group Corp. The round values the company at $1.75 billion pre-investment, following prior funding including a $150 million round in 2022 from investors like Amazon’s Industrial Innovation Fund. SoftBank had considered acquiring the company at around $900 million valuation but opted to invest in the ongoing round instead. Recent enhancements to Digit include expanded battery life, autonomous charging, improved safety features, and redesigned limbs for better grasping. This funding supports mass production scaling amid growing demand for humanoid robotics to address labor shortages and boost productivity. The round contributed significantly to Oregon's $948 million in VC activity for 2025.
