Eka robotics Overview

About Eka robotics

Eka Robotics is an AI and robotics company based in Boston, Massachusetts. It develops a Vision-Force-Action (VFA) model that combines computer vision, physics reasoning and tactile force feedback to control robots during contact-rich manipulation. The model is designed to generalize across objects, tasks and environments while adapting to unexpected changes, and to work safely alongside humans. Target applications include manufacturing, logistics and other settings where robots perform physical work. The company describes its goal as building intelligence for the physical world in the native language of force.

The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz and F-Prime. Andreessen Horowitz published an investment note on the company the same day. The round came roughly a year after Eka's seed financing, which was reported at about USD 11 million in May 2025. Eka was founded by MIT professor Pulkit Agrawal and former Google DeepMind researcher Tuomas Haarnoja. The company builds intelligence for the physical world and has developed a Vision-Force-Action model that combines visual perception with force feedback from its robotic hands, used in a robotic arm that picks a wide range of objects including fragile ones. Investors said that if the capabilities transfer reliably across production tasks, manufacturers could introduce new products without restarting the learning process. Eka is based in the Boston area and employed roughly 25 people as of April 2026.
